Home to Roost, Happy Birthday Gorgeous, 2019 Stamin' Up! Sale-a-Bration

Here's a fun card I thought I would give a try to.  I am sure I got the colors wrong but I gave it my view and I ran with my thoughts on the colors.  You can see the original card here.

The  base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock that I textured with an embossing folder that was in the 2018 Holiday Catalog. I don't remember the name of it. It would be great if the name could be added to the folder itself.  But since it isn't you'll just have to look it up.  I sponged Early Espresso ink on the edges and top of the textured parts.  I taped the piece in place on top of the card base.

I stamped the rooster from the "Home to Roost" Sale-a-Bration set using black Memento ink.  I colored it using most of the colors from the last rooster card I made. You can see that card here and find the colors used there as well.  I did color the bottom part of the rooster a little darker using Crumb Cake Blends.  After coloring, I stamped the weeds from the same set. I stamped them using Early Espresso ink.  I die cut the rooster piece out using the largest stitched circle die. I die cut a Crumb Cake scalloped cirlce.  I sponged both and then taped them together.  I set the circle in place using Dimenisonals.

I didn't have the new cracked paint background but I did have my retired one, so I used it.  I stamped a piece of Cherry Cobbler and the ink used was Early Espresso. I also sponged the edges of the Cherry Cobbler strip. I taped the strip in place and then I set the rooster in place using Dimenisonals.

The words are from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set. I stamped them using Early Espresso ink on a scrap piece of Crumb Cake card stock.  I punched it out using the "Classic Label" punch. I set the words in place using Dimensionals.  I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card and it was done.

I thought this was a fun card to make.  Sorry about having to send you to my rooster post from the other day for the colors. I'm typing this up in a hurry because that horrid cold I had at Christmas and through most of this month came back. I had insomnia and when I don't get my sleep I get sick and now I'm sick again. I'm SO sick of coughing.  I hope none of you catch this, it's awful.  I'm whining so much about it because I rarely get sick, but when I do, I do.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
