Snowfall, Beautiful Blizzard, Christmas Card, 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

I found this fun card on Pinterest.  I thought it would be a fun card to make but I did struggle with it and ended up changing the size of the snowflakes and now I don't like it as much!!!

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  On top of that is a 5" x 3-3/4" piece of silver foil card stock.  On top of that is a 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I stamped the words from the "Beautiful Blizzard" using VersaMark. I embossed the words using silver embossing powder.

I die cut the snowflakes from the "Snowfall" thinlits dies using the silver foil card stock. I did not cut the snowflakes from the 5" x 3-3/4" piece I used for the layer.  I wasn't sure if it would show through being the silver foil card stock is so thick.  I could have tried to line them up but the more I run the silver foil through the Big Shot, the more chances I have of marking up the foil.  I wanted to keep it smooth and pristine looking.

The snowflakes were set in place with a small glue dot.  In the center of each snowflake was placed a medium crystal rhinestone.

This was a simple card to make but I think I would have been happier had the snowflakes been larger. I just couldn't make them work using the visual I had to work with.  The original card gave no measurements.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
