November 2018 Paper Pumpkin, Christmas Card

WOW, this is one of those Paper Pumpkin kits that just keeps on giving!!  You can get at least 16 cards from this kit, or even more depending on how narrow you cut the plaid papers.

I worked up this card after seeing one on Pinterest.  I did change it a little.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Crumb Cake.  Though this piece was one that was in the kit so it's Crumb Cake on outside and white on the inside.

I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the top of the card base.  I cut a strip of the plaid card stock at 1-1/2" x 5-1/4".  I taped that strip to the bottom of the Whisper White piece.

The words are from the November 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit. I stamped them on the square piece that came with the kit.  I stamped the words using Cherry Cobbler ink.  It's the same color ink that comes with the kit.  You get a small ink spot in the kit.  I added Dimensionals to the back and set it on the card front but I didn't remove the protective pieces. I didn't want to stick it just yet. I needed to see where the branches were going to go.

The branches were also in the kit. I punched out two of them and set them on the card. I then added the word piece.  I just used snail to hold them in place.

I tied a bow with the thick twine that came in the kit and I attached it with a glue dot that came in the kit as well.  I added some sequins that came in the kit. These sequins already have sticky dots on the backs of them.  Makes it easy to add to your project.

And that was it.  I am liking all the altered cards I have made and found on the net.  You can use these layouts with your own papers.  The square is about 2-1/2" x 2", so you can cut your own too.  I have found DMC floss works for the twine. I'm sure there's a color match for Cherry Cobbler.  I don't often put bows on my cards. Mostly because I don't have the matching colors. I don't often buy ribbons.

This was a fun card to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
