Waterfront, Sheltering Tree, Thinking of You Card

Today I needed to make a "thinking of you" card.  I wanted to use a set that looked masculine since the card was for a guy.  I took out the "Waterfront" set and tried to work in darker fallish colors and this is what I came up with.  I have a stack of ink pads to put back, I used a lot of colors here.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Bermuda Bay card stock.  On top of that I taped a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White card stock.  The dotted paper is from the "Brights" 6" x 6" paper stack.  There's a lot of fun papers in those stacks. I cut it 5-1/8" x 3-7/8" and I taped it to the Whisper White piece.

I cut the "frame" piece 3" x 3-3/4" using Whisper White card stock. I die cut a 2" square from the center. I didn't use the 2" square to stamp on. I cut a 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" piece of Whisper White for that.

First I stamped the mountain using Crumb Cake ink.  Then I stamped the trees suing Shaded Spruce. The orange piece is actually two colors. First I stamped it using Sahara Sand and then I inked the image up with Pumpkin Pie and stamped over it.  The Stamparatus was used for that.

Next was the water. I stamped that using Pool party and the darker part was stamped using Bermuda Bay ink.  The sun was stamped using So Saffron ink.

The words are from the "Sheltering Tree" set and I stamped those using black Memento ink.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the frame piece. I set the stamped mountain piece in place and added some snail to the back of it so it could stick to the dotted paper.  And that was it.

It was a pretty simple card to make, it just took a lot of colors and cleaning of stamps. But isn't that what stamping is all about??

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
