Hearts Come Home, Swirls & Curls, Christmas Card

Today I thought I would go for a super quick and easy card since my time is very limited this week. I have 3 days before the final craft fair of the year and I'm busy getting things ready.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Very Vanilla card stock.  On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Very Vanilla that I textured using the "Swirls & Curls"embossing folder.  It's a very fun and pretty folder.

I cut a 3-7/8" x 2-3/4" piece of the gold foil paper.  Now I didn't plan this very well because I was sort of designing as I was going but I should have punched out the "Pretty Label" piece before I taped on the 3-3/4" x 2-5/8" piece of Designer Series Paper from the "All is Bright" 12" x 12" paper pack.  The bulbs image you see here is the reason I bought that pack of paper. I'm sure there's other pretty sheets in it. I have not looked!  LOL I was totally obsessed with this particular sheet!!

I taped those two layers to the card embossed piece and I taped the whole thing to the card base.

I punched out the gold foil piece using the "Pretty Label" punch.

I stamped the "Joy" from the "Hearts Come Home" set.  The word stamp reads: "Joy to the World" but I masked off the rest of the words and inked it using Sahara Sand.  I used a 1-1/4" circle punch and I sponged the edges with Sahara Sand.  I taped the "Joy" to the gold foil piece.

I took some gold thread and wound it around my open fingers three times. I put a tiny glue dot where I was going to center the word piece and set it in place. I set the word piece in place using Dimensionals and the card was done!

I think it's a very sweet and elegant card.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
