Varied Vases, Touches of Texture, Birthday Card, 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I really liked the layout of this card. I liked the circle behind the vase and the flowers bunched together to fit in the vase. You can see the original card here.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Fresh Fig. I chose that color because I have a lot of it on hand. It must be a color I don't use too often!

I stamped the dots from the "Touches of Texture" set using Smoky Slate ink.

I stamped the flowers from the "Varied Vases" I actually bent the stems to have them all meet at one point so it would give the illusion of them all fitting in the vase. I colored the flowers using the Flirty Flamingo marker. I also took one of the flower images from the set and inked it up with Flirty Flamingo and stamped off once and then stamped it on the circle. I forgot to stamp off once on the left side. See how much darker those flower are?  UGH!!! LOL  I stamped the leaves using black Memento ink and then I colored them using the Pear Pizzazz marker.  Then I die cut them out using the Stitched Circles dies. It's the second smallest die in the pack.

I stamped the vase using Smoky Slate ink. I punched it out and then I ended up fussy cutting around it. I didn't want all that white showing around it. I taped the top of the vase to the flowers. Then I set the whole piece in place using Dimensionals.

I stamped the words from the "Varied Vases" set and punched them out using the "Classic Label" punch. I added Dimensionals to the right side and tape on the top left side and set it in place on the card. I made sure the left tip was just under the vase. I really liked that look on the original card.

I added some rhinestones to the flowers and around the background because I thought it looked a bit blah.  And after I did that I REALLY liked the look of the card!

It was fun to make and I really like the layout.  Too bad about not stamping off on the flowers!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
