Toil & Trouble, September 2018 Paper Pumpkin, Halloween Card

While I was at a stamping event on Saturday, I saw a card similar to this on display and I took a photo of it to make at a later date.  I always take photos at these types of events and I rarely make any of the cards I take pictures of.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Gorgeous Grape card stock.  This card opens on the right.

On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic Black card stock.  And on top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I cut a 2-3/8" x 3-7/8" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Toil & Trouble" 12" x 12" paper pack.  I taped the DSP in place on top of the Whisper White piece.  I stamped some bats in the upper right corner using black Memento ink. The stamps were from the September 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit.  I've been having a lot of fun with the stamps in that set.  I taped a piece of black ribbon to the card front and I taped it on the back.  I took a small piece of ribbon and tied a knot.  I like adding my knots that way because I can slide them anywhere I want.

The words are also from the Paper Pumpkin set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I die cut the circle and I die cut a scalloped circle from Gorgeous Grape card stock. I taped the circles together. I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on the card front.

I fussy cut the hat from the "Toil & Trouble" DSP. I could have used the die to cut it out but I didn't want to have to cut my 12" x 12" DSP and ruin some hats.  Who knows, I may end up using them all!  Or not!!! LOL

This was a fun card to make and it's so much fun with some great purples back in the Stampin' Up! color repertoire!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
