Signs of Santa, Santa's Signpost, Snowflake Sentiments, Christmas Card

I will try not to make too many Christmas cards before Halloween.  I just had an idea and ran with it. I wanted Mrs. Clause to have her arm hanging over the panel like she's casually wishing you a Merry Christmas.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Garden Green card stock. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock.

The left panel is a piece of Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) from the "Santa's Workshop". The specialty means the paper has flocking on it.  The image I die had flocking on her apron (that you can't see!).  The SDSP was cut 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" and the Poppy Parade card stock was cut 2-1/2" x 3-1/2".

I stamped the words from the "Snowflake Sentiments" stamp set using Poppy Parade ink. Under the words reads, "From our family to yours". I masked them off, I only wanted the "Merry Christmas". The words were stamped on a 1-3/8 x 2-3/8" piece of Whisper White and layered on top of a 1-5/8" x 2-5/8" piece of Poppy Parade card stock.

I die cut Mrs. Clause from the SDSP and fussy cut around her elbow and across her apron top.  I did trim up the elbow a little, it didn't quite curve enough for me.  I taped her bottom half plus the elbow to the word layers. I set the words layers in place using Dimensionals.

I fussy cut the cookies and the candy cane from the pieces of SDSP that I would have normally tossed in recycling!  I cut some small pieces of Dimensionals for the candy cane and one small one for the cookies and I set them in place on the card.

It was a fun card and sort of looked like what I had in mind.  Now off to work on something NOT Christmas.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
