Perennial Birthday, Birthday Card

On the card I had made yesterday, I liked how the twine was added. So with that in mind I set out to make a card with twine in a line/row!

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock. The fold is on the left, a standard/normal opening card.

On top of the card base is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock.  On top of that is a 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Basic Black card stock. And on top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock.

I cut a piece of the "Share What You Love" Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP) 3-1/2" x 2-3/4". And the layer behind that is a 3-5/8" x 2-7/8" of Tranquil Tide card stock. I taped those two layers together. I set them on top of the card and lightly marked the bottom edge of the SDSP layers with a pencil so I would know where to add the words.

The words are from the "Perennial Birthday" set and I stamped them using Tranquil Tide ink.  Once the words were stamped, I taped the Basic Black and Pool Party to the Whisper White piece and then I taped those layers to the card base.

I laid a line of sticky tape about 1/2" under where the SDSP will be set.  I took some black twine and made loops, sticking them to the tape as I moved across the card. I did use scotch tape to cover the loops when I was done. Then I set the SDSP piece in place using Dimensionals.

It's a simple and quick card and I got to make the twine in a loopy line again!!!  I LOVE the look of the twine sticking out.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
