Healing Hug, Abstract Impressions, Get Well Card, 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Catalog

This new "Abstract Impressions" set is a very fun one to play with and you can whip up some quick and pretty cards with it too. I am on limited stamping time today and I took out this set with nothing in mind.  I took the big rose piece and then this idea popped into my head!! And this is what it looked like in my head too!!! LOL That doesn't always happen.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Daffodil Delight. On top of that is a 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" piece of Basic Black.  And the focal piece is cut 3-3/8" x 4-5/8".

I stamped the large flowers from the "Abstract Impressions" set.  I used Highland Heather on the thickest flower image. I then stamped the flower details using the thinnest flower image. There's a third one but I didn't have three purples so I just used the two images.  I used Gorgeous Grape for the thinnest flower image.

The yellow flower was stamped using the thickest flower and Daffodil Delight ink. I stamped the detail image using Cajun Craze ink.

The leaves were stamped using the butterfly wings image. I used Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.

The words are from the "Healing Hugs" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink.

I taped the Basic Black layer to the Whisper White piece and I set those two layers in place on the card front using Dimensionals.  And that was it. A super quick and easy card to make. Oh and pretty too!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
