Petal Palette, Beautiful Bouquet, Birthday Card

While looking around Pinterest I found this beautiful card to make.  I just couldn't help myself, I thought it was just too darn pretty to pass up.

It's a pretty easy card to make too.

I took a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock and I embossed the left side with the new "Petal Pair" embossing folders.  They are only about 2-1/4" wide and there's two styles in the pack. I set that aside while I die cut the other things out.

I die cut the lacy looking border piece on the left of the focal piece. I die cut the large leafy branch and then the little flower in the corner. I die cut them all of Whisper White card stock.

I stamped the flowers and die cut them out. I colored them using markers and a blender pen.  I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.

The words are from the "Beautiful Bouquet" set. I stamped them using black Memento ink. I die cut the with a scalloped die but I wasn't paying attention. I wanted to cut them with a smooth die.  But it still looks nice. I taped those two layers together.

I cut a piece of Pool Party card stock 4-1/2" x 3-1/2".  Before I taped on the 4-3/8" x 3-3/8" piece of Whisper White, I die cut the scalloped oval.  I then taped the Whisper White piece in place and began to assemble the card.

I added Dimensionals to the back of the Pool Party piece.  Then I glued the lacy looking piece to the left of the card, leaving about 1/4" on the side and nothing at the top.  I taped the branch where it hides under the wording.  You will have to eye it but it's easy to do and you really can't ruin this card.  I added Dimensionals to the roses and set them in place on the bottom left of the card. I added some Dimensionals to the word piece. Where it covers the roses I added snail tape.  I slipped the tiny flower piece under the oval and that was it!  It looks a lot harder than it is. It just has a lot of pieces, that's all.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
