Merry Patterns, Christmas Card, 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog

For a stamp set that I wasn't all that fond of when I got it, I sure am having a lot of fun with it. I found this fun card on Pinterest and I had to make it. I even dragged my friend Sharon into making one along with me!! You can see the original card here.

I made this card by using a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock for the base.  Then I added a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay card stock.  On top of that is a piece of "Christmas Around the World" Decorative Series Paper (DSP), cut 3-3/4" x 5".  The falling snow DSP was my favorite in this pack.  I have tried not to use it all up, just in case I found something that needs that paper to complete the card.  See, that is how I become a DSP hoarder.  SO I not only decided to make this card but I cut some for Sharon to make one too!  Such a big step for me in trying not to hoard!!! LOL

Okay, after the DSP I cut a piece of the "Dazzling Diamonds Glitter Paper" 5" x 3".  Now, had I been smart I would have die cut that large oval from the center of the Bermuda Bay card stock, but no, I had to get out another piece to do that!!  I stamped the image from the "Merry Petterns" set on a piece of Whisper White card stock and we colored it in with the alcohol markers.  We added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the candle flames.  Also, our ribbon is a little different. But it's still basically the same.  I think it was the color that drew me to this card.  We taped our ovals together and then set them in place using Dimensionals.  And that was it.  A very easy and pretty card to make.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
