Daisy Delight, Delightful Daisy, Thank You Card

I found this card on Pinterest and I just HAD to make it. I LOVED the flowers.  This card has a soft, quiet, calmness to it.   And it was super easy to make too!

The link to the original card can be found here. It doesn't take you anywhere, just to the card. There's no instructions so I had to guess at what colors were used.  And sometimes (many times) you make do with what you have.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Whisper White card stock.  The next layer is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay.  On top of that is a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White.

I punched the flowers using the daisy punch and some scraps of "Delightful Daisy" Decorative Series Paper (DSP).  I needed 6 flowers.  I didn't have enough paper and I really didn't want to take a new sheet just for one flower, so I maneuvered the punch so I got almost all of the petals in.  I used that piece on the left, those missing petal tips are hidden behind the center flower!!!  I taped two flowers together and then added the centers.  Don't do that.  First set the flowers in place and then stamp the words.  The words here are from the "Daisy Delight" set.  They could stand to be moved down a little.  I used Bermuda Bay ink to stamp them.  Now you can tape your flowers on the Whisper White piece.  Next stamp the center of the flowers on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using Daffodil Delight ink.  Punch them out with the 1/2" circle punch and set them in place using Dimensionals.  I set them in place before I taped the flowers to the Whisper White panel. Don't do that!!! It made taping the back of the flowers a bit difficult.  Well, it was only difficult because I had exposed the sticky part of the Dimensional and didn't put the flower center on.  Not thinking too clearly today.  Who's turn was it to watch me today??? LOL  Anyway, the card did get assembled without ruining it!!  I REALLY like it.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

  1. Really cute card, Wanda. I love the colors and design of the card, plus the font of the sentiment. I love how you give us the tips on what works and what doesn't. Why re-invent the wheel when you've already done it for us?? Have a great day!
