Better Together, Birthday Card

A little bit better on the "not so busy" decorative paper background.  Not like yesterday's post!! Though this one does draw my eyes to the left of the card instead of being centered or moving around, but at least it's more pleasing to the eye.

It was super simple to make too. I SO love that "Happy Birthday" from the "Better Together" set. You've probably guessed that already by how many times I've used it!! I like it because it's large enough for a bigger circle and yet small enough that it doesn't take up the whole card front.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of the new Tranquil Tide card stock.  The green stripe background is from the "Delightful Daisy" Decorative Series Paper (DSP) and is cut 4" x 5-1/4".  The square panel is from the "Whole Lot of Lovely" DSP and is cut 2-1/2" x 2-1/2".  The Tranquil Tide layer is cut 2-3/8" x 2-3/8".   I used some of the orange printed scrap from the "Delightful Daisy" DSP, it was a 1/2" strip.  I set it in the "Banner Triple" punch, I centered it and punched three pieces for the side of that layer.  I taped those in place before I set those layers in place using Dimensionals.

I stamped the words using the Tranquil Tide ink. I die cut them using the stitched circle Framelits. I used the scalloped circle framelet for the layer.  I set that piece in place using Dimensionals.  I added three Glitter Enamel Dots to the circle and that was it.  Very simple and quick!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda

  1. Beautiful card, Wanda. I love the DSP square and banners and the stitched circle with the scalloped one behind. Thanks for the measurements. They are always helpful. Enjoy your day.
