Touches of Texture, Rose Wonder, Birthday Card

For today's card I needed to use a piece of retired paper because I don't have any new current papers yet.  But the order is on it's way so in a few days I will be able to play with all current stuff.  But if you are a demonstrator, you know how to substitute and make things work!  And for non-demonstrators, you can use whatever colors you think look best with the color scheme! The decorative paper I used here is from the retried "Cupcakes & Carousels" 6" x 6" paper stack.

The base of this card is a folded half-sheet of Pool Party. On top of that is a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay, and then the Whisper White 3-3/4" x 5" piece that was textured with the Large Polka Dots embossing folder.  The decorative paper strip was cut 5" x 1-3/4".

The flower image is from the "Touches of Texture" set.  I colored it using Old Olive and Calypso Coral markers. I die cut the oval and then I die cut a Bermuda Bay oval.

The words are from the "Rose Wonder" set. They were die cut with the oval die and the Bermuda Bay layer behind it was die cut using the Stitched oval die.

The flower oval and the words were set in place using Dimensionals. I did not put a Dimensional on the left side of the word oval, I just used double sided tape there.

After looking at the photo, I realized that I forgot to add the tiny pearls to each flower center.  It was a thought I had but it never made it to the paper!! I will be adding them when I'm done posting this!!

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make.

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
