February 2017 Paper Pumpkin, Graduation Card, Alternative Card

I'm always on the lookout for cards to make using the Paper Pumpkin kits.  I either have pieces left over from my kits or the kit just didn't fit my needs and is sitting there waiting for me to find something to do with it.

Well, the February 2017 Paper Pumpkin kit still has some pieces left in the box.  I did not use the kit the way it was shipped to me.  I didn't have any use for invitations.  So, this was one of those kits that I was searching for something different to make. And by different, I mean cards.  I prefer cards with these kits.  I use a lot of cards so, it's cards I want to make.

This one was super easy.  I think it would make a great graduation card.  I found the card on Pinterest.  You can see it by clicking here.

I took a half sheet of Whisper White cardstock and folded it in half.  Then I cut some strips of the cardstock in the kit and just taped them in place, spacing them about equally apart.  You don't have to be exact in the size of the strips. The center one is 3/8" and the other two are a bit smaller than that.  They were cut at the score line of the original piece.  I didn't have to measure the length.

I used my Star framelets dies and cut out two stars. One of Dapper Denim and the other of the gold glitter paper.  I tied a piece of Dapper Denim around the front part of the card and tied a bow.  Then I added the stars using Dimensionals.

It was a super easy card to make and I think it will be a wonderful graduation card.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
