Crazy about You, Hello You Thinlits Father's Day Masculine Card

I had totally forgotten about this fun paper pack ("Adventure Abound") until I saw a card on the KathleenStamps blog.  She had made a card using those papers and I ran and grabbed my pack!!  I have hardly used any of it and it's retiring at the end of the month. I had bought 3 different paper packs when the catalog came out last year.  I'm going to be scaling it down to two packs this year.  I hate it when I have a lot of retired stuff left over.  Anyway, Kathleen's card was abirthday card but I thought this would be fun as a Father's Day card, since Father's Day is just around the corner.

I used the "Crazy about You" set for the "Father's Day" words.  The "happy" is from the  "Hello You" thinlits. I had gotten out the "Crazy about You" set and was on the hunt for some fun flowery card to make and I ran across this card and I just had to make it.  I will make a flower card some other time!!!  Oh, and get this, there was only one stamp involved in making this!!!  How fun is that??

I used Crumb Cake for the base of the card.  Then a layer of Early Espresso with Very Vanilla on top. The printed piece was layered with Early Espresso.   The words are actually in black.  I would have done them in Early Espresso except I had one laying on my counter so I thought I should use it before it gets damaged.  When you go through the effort to get out the magnetic platform and waxed paper, you might as well use these before they are ruined.  It looks just fine with black and I don't think there'd be too many dads out there who would complain!!!

This was such a super easy card to make.  Next time I need to use the "happy" I think I'm going to cut it out in other colors, just to have them on hand.   It helps when you need to make a quick card!!!
