A Work of Art, Wetlands Butterfly Birthday Card

I thought I would play with a color today. I chose Crisp Cantaloupe, mostly because it's retiring and I have quite a bit left. I found this fun card at Sandi Stamps.  What caught my interest was the honeycomb die.  It took me a bit to figure out which part of the piece I needed to clip.  You not only clipped but you cut off parts too!  After I figured it out, I glued it in place.

I stamped the Crisp Cantaloupe image from "A Work of Art".  I stamped the words using the "Wetlands" set.

Next I punched out 3 butterflies using the Lullaby decorative paper.  I sponged the edges with Crisp Cantaloupe.  I set them in place with Dimensional pieces and I added pearls down the center of each one.

This was a super quick card to make and fun too!! I like how it turned out.  I'm still in awe of that honeycomb background!  And I used waxed paper on top of my card stock before cutting it out and it came out of the die with no effort at all!!!  Ya gotta LOVE that!  Be sure to check out Sandi's card, mine is a little different than hers.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
