A Moon Lake Get Well Masculine Card

Today I needed to make a get well card for my friends dad.  I was leaning towards the Lovely as a Tree set and then I remembered the new Moon Lake set.

I stamped my image using the black Memento ink pad because I thought I was going to color it in using the Blendabilities markers.  I started coloring and didn't like how it looked so I stamped a new image and used markers, a blender pen, and sponges.

I colored in the boat using Real Red marker and a blender pen.  First I colored it all in with the blender pen and then I came back with the marker and colored in the darker spots.

Then I colored in the water using Marina Mist marker and a blender pen.

I colored the trunk and some branches on the tree.  Then I sponged in some green.  I also sponged in some green for the grass. I used Wild Wasabi for the greens.  And then I sponged in some Marina Mist in the sky and it was done. It was a pretty quick card to make in spite of all the coloring!  I like how it turned out and now I need to get it ready for tomorrow's mail.

The words were done on my computer.  You can purchase a download of 10 different words that fit in the 1-1/4" circle punch. Some also fit in the oval punch.  Print as many out as you wish to use on all of your cards!  You can read more about the download here.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

It was a good choice to go with the coloring method that you did, it goes very well with the stamp set. I love it!!!

  3. Great Card...reminds me of the time my son-in-law, in the coast guard, tipped a canoe in Lake Michigan. Funny now, cold back then.

TY for sharing and guess what his B'day is going to be!
