A Thoughts and Prayers meets Work of Art Sympathy Card

Yes, another sympathy card.  I got a call yesterday from the neighbor that our neighbor had died unexpectedly.  It's so sad.  He was such a fun and funny guy.  He was always happy. In the 28 years that I've known him I have never seen him angry or even sad.  He's always been such an upbeat person. We had a running joke between the two of us.  We'd SO often see each other at the grocery store and we'd say stuff like, "you need to let me know when you're going so you can pick up my groceries.  I'll give you a list next time!"  I'm going to miss seeing him at the grocery store and out in his yard.

So today I made this card using the "Thoughts & Prayers" and "Work of Art" sets.   I used black Memento ink for the tree and words.  I used Old Olive for the grass area and Soft Sky for the sky.  I did the Old Olive first.  Then I inked up my stamp with Soft Sky and stamped off twice.  I then stamped next to the Old Olive.  Then I inked it up again and stamped off once and stamped it next to the lighter Soft Sky.  Then I inked up the stamp one more time and stamped it directly on the card stock.  It was a simple and quick card to make yet very subtle with a sincere look to it.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
