Blooming with Hope Birthday Card

Using one of my favorite layouts I picked a flower out in the "Blooming with Hope" set and stamped only that flower on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock.  I colored the flower using the new Hello Honey card stock.

The decorative paper is from the "Lullaby" Designer Series Paper pack.  I cut the decorative paper 2-7/8" x 4".  I cut the Lost Lagoon card stock 1/8" larger.  I lined up the two pieces and put a little line of removable tape about where I thought the circle would be punched from.  I punched the 1-1/4" circle first. I dropped the layers all the way down into the punch.  I lined up the two sides and then I punched it.  Next I took just the decorative paper and a scrap piece of copier paper and punched a larger circle out using the 1-3/8" circle.  You end up with just a little ring of paper punched out when you are done.  Tape the two pieces together.

I colored the flower using the Hello Honey marker and a blender pen.  The stem was colored in using the Wild Wasabi marker.  I added some Dimensionals around the opening of the layers and lined up the stamped image and pressed down.  Next I added Dimensionals to the rest of the back of the piece and set it in place on top of a piece of Whisper White that was cut 3-1/2" x 4-5/8".  That was taped in place on top of a half sheet of Hello Honey Card stock.  The card stock was cut on the 8-1/2" side to form a bottom opening card.

I used the Modern Label punch and Hello Honey card stock.  The words are from the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set.  And that was it.  I LOVE using this layout and I think I have a few more images that will fit in that opening!  This layout is actually a great way to use those little stamps that you have.  It really sets the focus on them!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
