Bloom with Hope Birthday Card

Today I thought I would play with the new "Bloom with Hope" set.  I like this set because it covers many occasions, Birthdays, Thinking of You, Mother's Day, Get Well, and there is even Sympathy words in the set.

I didn't know what to do with this set so I went on Pinterest and I found a card there that I copied (most of it).  You can see that card here.  I colored the flowers using the Cherry Cobbler ink pad and a blender pen. I do not have the Blendabilities markers yet.  I'm hoping to get them soon.  It looks like it would be a lot easier coloring with them.  I did get a chance to play with them last month and thought they were great.  I'm saving for them!!!

So back to my card, after all this blog is all about me, isn't it?  LOL

I used the next to the largest clear block and covered it with So Saffron ink.  Then I stamped it on my card stock.  I used black StazOn for the flower and as I said above I colored it in with a blender pen and ink pad.  The stems were colored in using the Old Olive marker.  I also took the  Sahara Sand marker and added a little shadow on the left side of the stems and under the flower petals next to the stem.

The words are from the Petite Pairs set.  The Whisper White piece is set in place on top of the So Saffron card base using Dimensionals.  A bow was tied using the Baker's Twine.  All I had was white and it worked just fine!

This was a fun card to make and it opened up the door for me on this stamp set.  I already have a new card in mind for tomorrow!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
