A Wetlands Masculine Card

Today I thought I would make a masculine card. I was thinking more on the lines of a Father's Day card but after I decided what I was going to add below the goose I realized there was no room for words.  Though looking at the top left corner of the goose image, I think I might be able to find something in the "Teeny Tiny Wishes" set!!!  I do like this "Wetlands" set.  It's a great one for making masculine cards.

This card could be used for Father's Day, for a Get Well card, and even a guy's Birthday Card.

I also LOVE the "Hardwood" background stamp.  It's the detail in the image that makes me really like it.  It just creates the real look of wood.

This was a very quick and simple card to make.

I stamped the goose on Very Vanilla card stock and then cut around it to form a square.  Then I made a Crumb Cake layer for it.  The weeds were stamped on Very Vanilla card stock using Crumb Cake ink. I punched them out using the 1-1/4" square punch and the Crumb Cake layer was punched out with the 1-3/8" square punch.  The base of the card is Crumb Cake.  The Hardwood image was stamped using Early Espresso on Soft Suede card stock.  And that is it.  Very simple!!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda

  2. I really should leave comments everyday as your cards are always so lovely.

For sure Wetlands are my next purchase. So many manly cards can be made from the set as well as for just about any occasion.

Gardening: Love the raised beds, especially for this old body! Many veggies purchased in stores have been treated with an agent that slows the growth of "eyes" or other areas where they would usually sprout. Try checking out your local greenhouse or small plant and garden shop. Love sweet potato plants, beautiful on the top side and lots of great stuff underground.

    Thank You for sharing!
