A Papillon Potpourri Birthday Negative Space Technique

Isn't this a very pretty card? I just LOVE it.  I found it Julie's Stamping Spot blog.  It was just TOO pretty to pass up.  And it was easy to make too.  Plus it's a better example of the Negative Space technique.

First I punched out the butterflies.  Then I used the label looking punch.  I don't remember what the name of it is.  And then I used that same punch on the 3 colors of decorative paper.  I did trim the decorative paper after I punched it so it wouldn't show.  The decorative paper was attached to the label punched piece using Dimensionals.  Before I set the butterflies in place I stamped the flowered butterfly using Crisp Cantaloupe ink. I added the antenna using Baked Brown Sugar ink.

The words are done using the Teeny Tiny Wishes set and Baked Brown Sugar ink.

The butterflies were set in place using glue dots.  I tried the Snail tape and as you can see on the first butterfly it bent it.  Once that front panel was done I added Dimensionals to the back of it and set it in place on a folded half sheet of Whisper White card stock.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
