A Simply Sketched Mother's Day

I have always thought this "Simply Sketched" stamp set was SO pretty.  I have made several cards using it in the past and plan on making more before it retires!

This was a quick and simple card to throw together, even with all the layers.  I used a half sheet of Basic Black and folded it in half for the base of my card.  Then I took a quarter sheet of white and used the "Dotted" embossing folder and then cut 1/8" off on two sides.  Next I took a piece of the Watercolor Wonder decorative paper and trimmed it 3-7/8" x 2-1/2".  The 2-1/2" part isn't as important.  You can make it taller or shorter, it will still look nice.  I used 2-1/2" because it was what I found in my scraps.  Then I took a scrap of Basic Black and cut it 4" x 2-3/8".

I stamped the image on a piece of Whisper White that measured 2" x 3-3/8" and the Basic Black piece was cut 2-1/8" x 3-1/2".

I punched out a black scallop, a Daffodil Delight 1-3/8" circle to fit the Mother's Day words that were done on my computer.

The flower and part of the scallop were set in place using Dimensionals.  Where the scallop lays on the top layer I used a little bit of tape.

And that was it.  I told you it was quick and simple, even with all those layers!!!  Now go make one yoursefl!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
