A Petite Petals and Gorgeous Grunge Birthday

I still have to say Gorgeous Grunge is one of my favorite sets to fall back on for a fun background.  I love the splashy dots!!!

Today's card comes to you via Chantal at For the Love of Stamping.  I spent a few minutes trying to find the direct link to her post but gave up after a bit.  It was fun to see her other posts too so it wasn't a waste of time.

I did change the card a little bit though, but not too much.

I started out with a half sheet of folded Crisp Cantaloupe.  The top layer is Whisper White cut to 4" x 5-1/4".  Then I used the Lattice die and cut out my piece.  Actually, I had it on hand and I had used my Xyron machine to add sticky to the back of it so it was like a sticker and SO easy to apply.

Then I used a scrap piece of Crisp Cantaloupe decorative paper and a square punch and made the tapered end.  I set the piece over the lattice to see where I needed to trim it for length.  I did the same with the Basic Gray piece.

I punched out a Crisp Cantaloupe scalloped oval and added the Simply Sketched greeting to it.

The flowers are from the Petite Petals set and the coordinating punch was used.  And again, I had some extra flowers so I thought I would use them up, that is why my card is in Crisp Cantaloupe.  I set the flowers in place using Dimensionals.  In the center of each flower is a medium size half pearl.

This was such a quick and easy card to make.  Even if I had to use all new pieces instead of from my stash, it would still be a quick card to make.  I think it turned out well and I like it just as much as Sandy's card!!!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
