A Flower Shop Birthday And Washi Tape Technique

Today's card was made by Terri.  It was one of her cards she made at the monthly Technique Tuesday event she has for her downline.  I shared this technique with her a while back and she shared it with the group.  It's just another fun way to use your Washi Tape.

The flower is from the Flower Shop set and the Washi Tape is covering the button.  It's also a great way to make colored buttons to go with your projects!!!  It's quick, easy and fun too!

The paper doily was sponged using the Daffodil Delight ink pad.  I like how it allowed the center word part to stand out more.  How simple.  It's one of my "duh" moments!  I could have thought of that (but I didn't).  I have a LOT of those moments!!! LOL

It's a pretty easy card to put together too.  The flower was set in place using Dimensionals and the petals were curled a bit before it was set in place.  Cute and sweet!!!

I tried to find the technique page where I explained how this was done.  But it's simple enough.  You just take the Washi Tape and cover the top of your button with it and set your button in place with glue dots or Dimensionals.  Snail tape will not hold!!!  Come to think of it, maybe I didn't do a technique page on it.  I think I may have just made some buttons for Terri!!!  It was a while ago and a lot has happened since then!!!  But now you know how to do it!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
