A Papillon Potpourri Birthday

You guessed it!  Another pretty and quick card.  I wonder what would come up in a search for quick cards!!!  I just happen upon these cards and am thrilled.

I found this card at Kristie's "Kreative Kristie" Blog.  I think it was the color of the butterflies that caught my attention.  And then upon looking at the card I saw how simple it would be to recreate.  And it was extremely simple.

Now this butterfly image was not the most favorite in my set. It is the least used of all the butterflies.  But using it on this card has changed my mind on it!  I am SO loving it.  It screams "spring", doesn't it?

The colors I used on this card are Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, and Crisp Cantaloupe.  Black StazOn was used on the words and the butterfly antenna.  I also used the heart from the "Textured Impressions" embossing folder.  I don't use those enough.  Because I wanted to use that folder (I didn't have the texture that Kristie used) I had to cut a piece of card stock to decorate and set on top of the base of my card.  It was okay though, I do like the look of the layered piece.

And the final touch was tying the white Baker's Twine around the panel.

What a fun, easy and pretty card this is!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
