Petite Petals and Lattice Tehcnique

This card was interesting to make to say the least.  I found this fun new "Lattice" technique and I had to try it out.  You can see the video here.  It's an easy to follow tutorial.  You need the Chevron punch to make the lattice.  As I'm looking at my card I can see that I did not get my edges lined up before I taped them in place.  Don't look too closely at the photo!! LOL

Once I got the Lattice done I followed the video on doing the flowers and the leaves.  And from there I was on my own because I didn't have the stamp set or the framelits so I improvised.  I hopped on over to My Digital Studio (MDS) and I used the "See Ya" set I had downloaded as package from the Sale-a-Brations book.  I used the coloring pen in the software and more or less erased some of the words on the "stamp" and I colored the other parts using Crisp Cantelope and Cajun Craze.  If you look closely at the words you can see at the very end of the top line that I didn't catch all of the black lettering in my coloring.  I didn't catch it until I was done printing it and I was not about to print it again.

I used the new tag punch and the ribbon punch to make a Crisp Cantaloupe strip to thread through the openings the tag punch created.  It was fun to play with the software.  I don't use it near enough. I almost forgot how to use it!! It took a few minutes for things to come back to me.

This was a fun card to make.  I like doing the lattice part.  I may use that in future cards.

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
