A Petite Petals Birthday Card

Today's card comes to you from Mena's "Personally Yours" blog.  I made a few minor changes.  What I liked about her card was the Lattice die and the flowers on the bottom right corner.  I didn't have the newspaper looking decorative paper so I used music paper, which was just fine because it is a birthday card.  And I didn't have the same flower set she had so I used the new "Petite Petals" and I didn't have to cut them out because I used the punch that was made for them!!  Ya gotta LOVE that!!  I know I do.  But there was some cutting on the card.  I HAD to cut around the lattice to trim up the music sheet paper.  UGH!  I know, it nearly killed me!!! LOL  I'm just SO spoiled now by all the fun punches that to have to cut is a job in itself!!  But I survived it and managed to finish the card too!  I was smart with the cutting though.  I knew I had to do it so I did it first and then the rest of the card was a breeze!!

The colors I used are Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding and Whisper White.  Pearls were added in the middle of the flowers and the words are from the Hostess "Simply Sketched" set.

The Lattice layer was set in place using Ddimensionals and so were the flowers.  So you have Dimensional layers on top of Dimensional layers.  In spite of the cutting, I did have fun making this card and I may make another one to actually send out!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
