A Papillon Potpourri Delightful Dozen Birthday

What part of "I need to make a get well card" did I not understand from yesterday's post?  Sheeeesh!!! I still need to make a get well card.  Let's see if I can be on task tomorrow!  I was just playing around with some scrap pieces of paper sitting on my worktable and I came up with this card.  I was just having fun and the only reason it ended up being a birthday card was I needed some words that were big enough for the large circle.  I found this birthday greeting in the "Delightful Dozen" set.

Once I got the black polka dot strip in place and the Cherry Cobbler square where I liked it, I wanted to make a circle that would take up a lot of space and still look good on the card.  These words were the perfect size.  Once I punched them out I didn't like how the white on the words blended with the white background so I punched out a black circle and slipped it just under the white circle and left a little of it exposed.  I liked it.

Next I noticed that the bottom corner looked too empty so I added a butterfly from the "Papillon Potpourri" set.  But one wasn't enough so I added one more on the word circle.  I added a rhinestone to each of the butterflies heads and one in the upper left corner of the Cherry Cobbler piece.  I just wan't done playing with the rhinestones so I added one strip of 5 small ones to the bottom of the circle and that just seemed to complete the card.

I set the circles and both butterflies in place using Dimensionals.

It's a pretty simple card to make.  It went together fast and it's got my favorite colors!!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
