A Morning Meadow Flower Shop Birthday

I don't know why I made a birthday card.  I'm actually caught up on my birthday cards for this month (if you can believe that!).  It's a first in a long time.  I really needed a get well card.  I could try to remove the words on the Soft Sky Modern Label piece but I think I may just make a totally different card.  I do like this card and I think I will just keep it in my stash for a while.  Now "for a while" usually means "when the set or colors retire".  And sometimes I actually use them.  But they mostly get put in a box and sold at the neighborhood garage sale along with the retired stamp sets that I decide to give up.

Ok, back to this card.  The original card was made by Nikki at "
"My Sandbox".  I was blog surfing and I ran across it.  I thought it was so pretty so I just had to make one!

I did change the card a little.  I used the Modern Label punch and the original card had a paper ribbon strip at the top.  I also changed the colors a little too.  I didn't really care for the Blushing Bride.  I think it's too peachy of a color plus it was too dull for these vibrant colors.  I wasn't going to add the bird (mostly because I had to cut it out by hand) but I decided to go ahead with it and I'm glad I did.  It was a nice way to tie the Soft Sky in better.

It was a fun card to make and I could see myself making another one. Yes, even with cutting out another bird!!! LOL

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
