The Open Sea Masculine Birthday Card

I needed to make a masculine card and as I was looking through some cards I had downloaded I found this card.  Well, not this exact card but one very similar to it!!!  I had originally found the card at
Cheryl Ann's Stamping Spot.  There was no direct link to the card.  I did try to find it on her site but had no luck.  I did change the compass on my card.  I didn't intentionally change it, I just didn't pay attention that the direction letters were cut off in a smaller circle.  But it's okay, I like the way this turned out anyway.

It was a fun and quick card to make.  I did emboss the anchors in clear on the background.  And I did not use the Stamp-a-ma-jig when stamping the ships log image on the background.  I probably should have but I got it close enough!  After stamping the ships log image, I did sponge on a little Soft Sky.  My first mistake. I should have embossed the anchors first and then sponge in the Soft Sky.  I also sponged in Marina Mist, and that was after the embossing!  The embossing was about the most time consuming part of the card and actually it didn't take all that long to do.  And that is about it. Not a lot to this card but it looks busy enough!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
