Season of Style meets Bring on the Cake

I had bought the "Season of Style" decorative paper stack pack.  You sure get a lot of paper in those!  As I was looking at it I realized that if I am not going to be making Christmas cards with the papers I will have a lot of paper on my hands and I am not making our Christmas cards with that paper so I need to find other uses for it from now until January 2nd!!

I thought I would try to use this design on a birthday card and it worked!!  I have used this layout before and found it to be a fun one.  As long as you have something in that focal space that is large enough.  I actually got two triangles out of one sheet of the paper.  I set the other piece aside for a different card sometime down the road!!!  That translates into: "When I think of something to do with it!"  LOL

The base of my card is Cherry Cobbler.  I taped the decorative paper on top of the Whisper White piece.  The words are from the "Bring on the Cake" set and the cute little butterfly is from the "Papillon Potpourri" set .  I added 3 of the tiniest pearls down the center of the butterfly.  And that was it.  Very simple.  I think coloring in "Birthday" was the most time consuming part of the card!  Every time I color in words like that I always try to be so careful not to go outside the line and then I get close to the line and the thoughts are still "don't go outside the line" and the next thing I know I colored outside the line!!!  What is up with that?  LOL   Silly me!

Thank you SO much for visiting today,
Wanda
