Mixed Bunch, Morning Meadow & Washi Tape

This card came into being by accident.  I had punched out the flower from the "Mixed Bunch" punch.  I needed that flower for a different project.  Then on that piece of cardstock I had stamped a birthday sentiment in the upper right corner to see how it looked and I set it aside.  Later that day I had stamped and punched out the "Morning Meadow" flower and I didn't have the right color so I set it aside.  I landed on top of the "Mixed Bunch" opening on that scrap paper.  Well, next thing I knew the ideas started flowing.

I took a new piece of Whisper White cardstock and punched out the large flower.  I set it on top of a piece of the Primrose Petals colored cardstock.  I liked what I saw and the rest is history!!

I added the Washi tape which fortunately blended with the Primrose Petals.  I stamped the words using Midnight Muse ink.  I added some rhinestones and a molded clay flower in the center of the paper flower.  Oh and don't forget the little rhinestone in the middle of that cute little molded flower!!!

This was a very simple and quick card to make.  I am REALLY loving that Washi Tape.  And this is coming from someone who said they weren't going to buy it because they couldn't see any use for it!!! You can get the same effect from strips of paper but the tape sticks and there's nothing left to do but trim the edges!!  Now I can't wait to play with the Halloween Washi Tape!!

And now I will put the tape aside and the flower set (for a day or so) and play with something else!!  You will have to stop back to see what that is tomorrow!

Thank you SO much for stopping by today,
Wanda
