Monster Candy!

While I was at Carol's Koogle Notes blog I saw this cute monster card she made. The moment I saw it I thought it would look great as a candy bar holder. So I bought a candy bar when I was grocery shopping and proceeded to make the box.

To make this candy bar box cut your card stock 6-1/8" x 7-1/4".
On the 6-1/8" side score at 3/8", 2-7/8", 3-1/4" and 5-3/4"

On the 7-1/4" side score at 3/8" and 6-7/8"

On the 6-1/8" side clip the score marks in 3/8". These little flaps will be taped or glued in place to the inside of the lid and box bottom. Before you glue them decide which part of the box is your front and make the "teeth." I used a pinking sheers to do mine. You can do this by hand or use punches or whatever works best for you.

Decorate the top as you like. I used some scraps of Old Olive and sponged them with Always Artichoke. The eyes were punched out using white, black and Ruby Red card stock. I used a red marker and drew in the bloodshot lines in the eyes. Then I taped it all together. The more you tilt the eyes in the angrier they look. I had mine set off to the sides but it looked too sweet so I moved them inward and got a pretty angry looking candy box!!

Isn't it adorable? Carol is SO creative!!

Thank you SO much for visiting my blog today,
Wanda
