The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it with a snowflake embossing folder. I don't have a current snowflake embossing folder, mostly because it came in a bundle and it was just too expensive. Even my group of stamping friends didn't have it or I would have embossed a few sheets to have on hand. So I used a folder I had on hand, it's a very old (retired) Stampin' Up! folder. I glued it to the front of the card.
The image is from the "A Little Christmas" 12" x 12" package. There's two sheets in the package that are full of images. I can't wait to play with some more of them in the near future. I cut this image out of the sheet and taped a piece of Pool Party layer to the back. My printed image measured 2-3/8" x 2-3/4" and my Pool Party piece was cut at 2-5/8" x 3". Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set aside.
The words are from the "Home For Christmas" bundle. I stamped them on a piece of Basic White card stock and I tried to cut them out with my paper cutter. It's SO hard to cut tiny strips that have words on them and get them straight. I ended up trimming it a bit with my scissors. I also trimmed the piece of Pool Party for the layer. It's not straight, which bothers me but I try to remind myself that it is after all a handmade card. And it's not that crooked! But it still bothers me! LOL. Dimensionals were added to the back.
I set the top piece in place about 5/8" from the top and both sides.
The words were added to the bottom area about 7/8" from the bottom edge and the two sides.
I had some snowflakes that I glued on the printed image and the card was done.
This was a fun card to make. I really like the image, there's something about the house in the snow.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda

Super Christmas card, but I don't like thinking about the snow that is sure to come--and probably very soon. I have a small guillotine cutter, and it works great for trimming the mats around strip sentiments. I use it every day.
