Simply Leaves, Birthday Card, Thank You Card, Thinking of You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fall card to share with you. I have not decided what genre it belongs under. A birthday card? A thinking of you card?  A thank you card? I'm not sure where to go with this card. It's not speaking to me. Maybe you can suggest something. What is it saying to you? I found the card on Pinterest. You can see the original card by clicking here. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Cajun Craze card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut and taped to the inside.

On the front a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Early Espresso card stock was cut for the largest layer.

The beautiful shimmery Designer Series Paper (DSP) piece was cut at 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from a sheet in the "Glow of Harvest" 12" x 12" package. The sheets in this package are all on a shimmery card stock. There is no design on the back, just the pretty images on the front. I taped this piece on top of the Early Espresso piece.

On the right I cut a 1" x 5-1/8" piece of Crushed Curry card stock that I textured using the leaves from the "Seasonal Cheer" mini folder. There's three folders in that set, candy canes, bats, and these leaves.  I glued this piece to the right side of the DSP.

The leaves are from the "Simply Leaves" bundle and were stamped using Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Basic Beige, and Peaceful Pine ink. Once they were punched out, I taped them together. I added Dimensionals to the back and set them in place on the front of the card.

A linen bow was tied and glued to the end area of the stems.

I didn't know what I was going to do with the card but I did add a label that will have something on it, or not. It will depend on the words and their size.

This was a fun card to make and I like how colorful it is for fall.

Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's card,
Wanda
