The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Peaceful Pine card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left. I cut a 4" x 5-2/4" piece of Basic White card stock and taped it to the inside.
Then I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Fern & Flora" embossing folder. I glued it to the front of the card and set it under my stamping mat to allow it to lay flat and dry.
I took the three leaves that I stamped and punched out from the "Simply Leaves" set. They were stamped using Peaceful Pine ink on Peaceful Pine card stock. I tied the stems of the three leaves together using some hemp thread. Once the bow was tied I spread/fanned the leaves out and taped them in place so they stayed where I wanted them to be. I added Dimensionals to the back and I made sure some of those Dimensionals were on the areas where the edges of the leaves met in the back. Doing this allows the leaves to stay in place too!
The words are from the same "Simply Leaves" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black ink on a 1" x 5" piece of Basic White card stock. I cut a 1-1/4" x 5" piece of Peaceful Pine card stock and taped the word piece to it. I glued it in place on the front of the card about 7/8" up from the bottom edge.
I didn't have any current embellishments to match so I used some retired rhinestones from the "Noble Peacock" package. I have SO many retired embellishments that I need to use up! It's always nice when you are able to use them. Though it was only two out of an almost full package, I look at the brighter side and say that there's two less in that package now! And I can see myself making more leaf cards and now I know I have some embellishments that will work!
This was a very quick and easy card to make. I think making it in some more fallish colors, it could pass as a masculine birthday card. It's pretty versatile. I can also see the leaves on a than you card and even a Thanksgiving card. I will be using it a bit more later this month. I have lots of other fun cards I want to make.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda

What a great embossing folder, and a very pretty card.
