Meant for You Ephemera, Children's Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a quick and easy children's birthday card to share with you. Please read on to see how it was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Pool Party card stock was cut for the largest layer. I taped that to the card base.

Next I cut a 4-1/2" x 3-1/4"piece of Basic White card stock and taped a 4-1/4" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Paper Medley" 12" x 12" package on top of it. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on top of the Pool Party layer.

I took a scrap piece of Pool Party card stock and using two of the rectangle dies from the "Nested Essentials" set and cut a frame. I had used the second and third dies in that set for the frame. I also took the second die and cut a piece of Basic White card stock. I cut around the dotted "lines" and then scrubbed on some Daffodil Delight ink using a blending brush. I glued this piece and frame together. The piece was then taped on top of the DSP using equal spacing on the top and left side.

Using the "Meant for You" ephemera package I took the cupcake and balloon cluster from the die cut pieces. Dimensionals were added to the back of both and they were set in place on the front of the card.

The word piece is also from the same ephemera package. I stamped the words from the using Basic Black ink on the "Banner Sayings" set to the left side of that piece. I trimmed the right side to match the left. I added a small Dimensional to each end and set them in place over the strings of the balloon cluster.

I added some Wink of Stella to the balloons and the cupcake to give it a bit of a shine. I just thought it needed something.  And the card was done.

This was a fun, quick and easy card to make. I like using these ephemera packages because there's so many pieces in them and you can have fun putting together quick and fun cards.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in to see today's children's birthday card,
Wanda

  1. Ephemera can really come in handy when making a quick card. I often wish I had more of it, especially when I've run out of ideas. This is a great card for a child--cake and balloons = fun!!!
