Days Like This Memories & More, Wild Bunch, Birthday Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I was looking on Pinterest to find another card using the "Days Like This Memories & More" card pack. Since I had not put it away, I thought I'd try another card. I found this one and I just had to make it. You can see the original card by clicking here. I did change it a little. Please read on to see how it was made.

The first thing I did was I took a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock and I glued on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock that I textured using the "Lazy Daisy" embossing folder. I set it under my stamping mat to lay flat while it dried.

Then I took my package of "Days Like This Memories & More" and took out two of the butterfly pieces. One of the reasons I was happy to have found this card on Pinterest was because I thought that piece was a bit busy and wasn't sure how I was going to work with it.  When I stumbled upon this card I knew I had to make one.

I fussy cut three of the butterflies out. There were two of them that I saved for another card. Dimensionals were added to the back of the butterflies and they were set in place on top of the matching butterflies. I cut a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer and I taped the butterfly piece to the Pool Party piece.

The words were made next. I stamped them using Basic Black ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. I used the "Three Banner" to punch them out.

I glued the butterfly piece on the front of the card. The words were set in place with Dimensionals and the card was done.

Even with the fussy cutting of the butterflies, this was a pretty quick card to make. Sometimes it doesn't matter how long fussy cutting takes when you really like the card you are putting together!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda

  1. Great way to use that butterfly paper. I love when I can fussy-cut an image and pop it up on top of a replica image. It adds so much dimension to a card.
