The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Waterside Retreat" 12" x 12" package. I cut this image from a sheet that has 10 wonderful images to cut and use. I taped it to the front of the card base.
The focal image is from the same sheet of DSP. I used the "Branching Out Die" set to cut it out. I also cut another piece out using Basic White card stock and one step larger. I used my blending brush and Balmy Blue ink to color the edges.
The two die cut pieces were taped together. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.
The words are from the "Cutest Crew" bundle and were stamped using Basic Black hybrid ink on Basic White card stock. I cut them out using a die from the "Stylish Shapes" set. Using my blending brush I scrubbed the edges with Balmy Blue. Dimensionals were added to the back and it was set in place over an ice cream cone sign on the image.
And that was it. Super quick and easy. This would be a great card for Father's Day too. I can't wait to play with a few more of those images in that package of DSP.
Thank you SO much for taking your time to stop in and see today's masculine birthday card,
Wanda
