The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic Whit card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Berry Burst card stock for the largest layer.
A 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Velvet Meadow" 12" x 12" package was used for the top layer. This DSP has velvet flowers on it. This particular piece has the velvet on the little white flowers. So fun, so different, and so pretty! I taped this to the Berry Burst piece and then that was taped to the front of the card.
The words are from the "Scalloped Blooms" set and were stamped using the new Basic Black Hybrid ink pad. This ink pad works with markers, watercolors and alcohol inks. Gotta love that. I know I do. And I find it stamps such a crisp image.
I cut the words out using a die from the "Sweet Words" labels and dies. Before taping the Berry Burst card stock you can cut the next largest label for the layer. I didn't do that, I had a scrap piece and I used that for my piece. I taped the die cut pieces together, added Dimensionals to the back and set the piece in place on the front of the card.
The little hearts are from the border of the Berry Burst layer. I glued them in place on the word piece and the card was done.
This was a very quick and easy card to make. I love this velvet paper. There's SO many pretty designs in this package.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's birthday card,
Wanda
