Banner Sayings, Lovely & Beautiful, Thank You Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a fun sketch I found on Pinterest to share with you. You can see the original card by clicking here. Once there you can click on the "visit site" and there is a sketch for you to print out. I printed one out so I can use this layout again in the future. It was nice to have all the measurements done for me. I'm so used to doing the measuring and cutting that this was actually a treat. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

Across the top the pieces measure 1-1/4" x 2-5/8" and 1-1/2" x 1-1/4". On the next row the pieces measure 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" and across the bottom area the pieces measure 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" and 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" times two on the last one.

My Designer Series Paper is from the "Lovely & Beautiful" 12" x 12" package.

I always find putting the pieces in place the most difficult. But I managed to get them on so they look even.  I think this was the part of the card that was the most time consuming.

Once the pieces were in place I needed to do the wording. I need a thank you card so I looked through my sets to find one that I liked and that was a good size for the space it needed to go in. The thank you here came from the "Banner Sayings" and as luck would have it, the bundle has a die that fit with these words perfectly. I had stamped them using Calypso Coral ink.

After cutting the words out I cut a 1/2" x 3" piece of Calypso Coral card stock strip to go behind the words. I snipped the ends at an angle and taped it to the back of the word piece. Dimensionals were added to the piece and it was set in place on the front of the card.

I had some retired enamel dots and I set them in place on the front of the card and the card was done. Now to get it ready to go out in the mail!

This is a fun sketch and I do plan to use it again in the near future. It's a perfect way to get rid of those scraps of DSP you have laying around.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's thank you card,
Wanda
