Lovely Blossoms, Everyday Arches, Friendship Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have two cards to share with you.  I wanted to use the arched die to highlight an image. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of both of the cards is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. They open on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Old Olive card stock for both cards.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for both pieces and the 5th largest arch was cut in the center of each piece. I textured one using the "Stone & Vine" embossing folder.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Lovely Blossoms" 12" x 12" package. There's a sheet with a number of images on it. There's actually three duplicate sheets. I chose the triple flower image for these two cards. I trimmed them to 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" and taped it to the back of the arched pieces. The textured one I glued instead of taped. Then I taped that to the front of the card bases.

The "hello" is from the "Everyday Arches" bundle and were stamped using black Memento ink. I cut them out using the "Labeled with Love" dies. It came in a set of three when it was available but there is a punch too. I had opted for the dies instead of the punch.  The dies are now retired but the punch is still available.  I also cut two Old Olive pieces using the same dies. I cut them in half the long way and taped them to the back of the "hello" piece.

I added a few retired "Candy Dots" to the front of the card and the card was done.

So which do you like better, the plain one or the textured one?  I had started out wanting to make the textured one but as I was putting the card together I realized I had forgotten to texture the white piece so I thought I'd make two and see what you think.

This was a very quick, fun and easy card to make. I'm leaning towards the textured one.

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
