The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.
I cut a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock and textured it using the "Beautiful Pattern" embossing folder. I taped it on top of the card base.
Next I took out my "Cute as a Bug" 12" x 12" package of Designer Series Paper (DSP). There's a sheet in there that has several designs that can be cut and used as a card or a background for a card. The checkered piece and the mushroom piece are from that sheet. These pieces were the same size but I cut the checkered one on the diagonal. I taped the pieces to the back of the mushroom piece. I ended up cutting a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White card stock (any color of scrap would do because it's hidden) and I taped it to the back of the checkered piece because the DSP is too thin to hold it's shape to put Dimensionals on.
The snail piece was fussy cut because there was no matching die for it and it was a character on one of those fun sheets that would work on it's own as a card front. After fussy cutting it I added Dimensionals to the back and set it in place on top of the mushroom
The "HELLO" is from the "Sweet Bugs" bundle and was stamped using black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White card stock. The whole stamp reads "HELLO friend" but I only wanted the "hello" part because I wanted small wording at the bottom. I trimmed a Dimensional to make it fit behind the word piece.
Once the word piece was set in place I added Dimensionals to the back of the layered piece and it was set in place on the front of the card. I centered it as much as I could by eyeing it.
This was a fun card to make, even with all of the fussy cutting.
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
