The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the bottom and the fold is on the top. I cut a 5"x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer.
The best way to make the scored lines is turn the card stock over and start at the 1" mark make your first score line. Then at 1/8" intervals make more score lines until you have 13 of them.
The flower was cut from the "Fragrant Layers" bundle on Basic White card stock. I also cut some leaves and little flowers at the same time.
I colored the little flowers using my blending brush and Cajun Craze ink. I also colored the large flowers (lightly) using the same blending brush with what ink was left on it. I got them a bit too dark and I think if I make a card like this again I'd probably use Daffodil Delight ink or maybe Pumpkin Pie.
The leaves were colored using Granny Apple Green and a blending brush.
The words are fro the same bundle and were cut with a die from the "Textured Notes" die set.
I glued the tiny flowers behind the openings of the large flowers. Dimensionals were added to the back. I added Dimensionals behind the word piece and on the scored piece.
I set the flowers piece in place on the left and the word place in the open area of the flower cluster. I put a little glue on the bottoms of the leaves and set them in place on the front of the card.
Dimensionals were added to the back of the scored piece and it was set in place on the front of the card and the card was done.
This was a very fun, quick and easy card to make. It's extremely versatile too. I can see it as a birthday, get well, thinking of you or Mother's Day card. It would make a pretty wedding card without any color!
Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's friendship card,
Wanda
