Heartfelt Hexagon, Sympathy Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a simple and pretty card to share with you today. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

I began with a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. It opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

I cut a 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock and textured it using the "Distressed Tile" embossing folder. I glued that to the Basic White card base.

Next I cut a 4-1/4" x 3-1/8" piece of Basic White card stock for the top layer. On that top layer I taped a 3" x 3" piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the "Perennial Lavender" 12" x 12" package. I taped it to the upper part of the layer.

The words were stamped next. They are from the "Heartfelt Hexagon" set and were stamped using Gorgeous Grape ink.

A piece of ribbon was added (mine is retired) I cut it 7" long and taped the ends around the backside of the piece. I slipped a piece of ribbon (still on the spool) under the taped ribbon and tied a knot. Then I cut the ribbon from the spool.  The piece was glued to the front of the card and the card was done

I like this layout and I lie how quick this card was to put together. You can make 16 cards using one 12" x 12" sheet of DSP with this layout!  Imagine using up your DSP making cards with different sayings. Kind of like a One Sheet Wonder!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's sympathy card,
Wanda
