Christmas Classics, Joy of Christmas, Christmas Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a gift card/Christmas card to share with you. These are SO easy to make and when I do make them I will make two at a time. Please read on to see how I made today's card.

The base of my card is a folded half-sheet of Shaded Spruce card stock. I cut it in half on the 8-1/2" side so when it was cut it measured 4-1/4" x 11".  Now I could have done this before cutting it in half but I didn't, you will need to cut off a 1/2" off the end so it will measure 4-1/4" x 10-1/2".

Score the piece at 5-1/2" and 8-1/4".  I turned the card around. The 5-1/2" area is the inside of the card and the short scored part is the front of the card. Fold that 2-3/4" scored piece inward. I marked center on the edge and took a circle punch and punched out a little niche so you can pull the gift card out easier. I used a 1-1/4" punch on mine. After punching I glued the two ends (top and bottom) to form a pocket.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White piece was added to the inside.

Next I cut a 2-1/2" x 4" piece of Designer Series Paper (DPS) from the "Joy of Christmas" 12" x 12" package. I taped that to the front.

The words are from the "Christmas Classics" bundle and were stamped using Versa Mark and sprinkled with gold embossing powder. I headed the powder using my embossing tool and then die cut them with the rectangle die in the same bundle.

I took the pretty holly word die from the "Christmas Classics" bundle and die cut the piece using some gold foil card stock. The words were glued to the piece and the piece was set in place on the front of the card using Dimensionals. I set the piece on the front of the card, centering it by eyeing it and held with my finger where the Dimensionals can not go. The Dimensionals were added on the left side and the piece was set in place. And that was it, the card was done.

This was a super quick and easy card to make. I love this layout and I like that it is a gift card holder. Two for the price of one! LOL

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's Christmas card,
Wanda
