Artistically Inked, Anniversary Card, Stampin' Up!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have a pretty find to share with you. I ran across this card on Pinterest and just had to make it. I'm still kind of stuck on white on white cards.  You can see the original card here. Please read on to see how the card was made.

The base of the card is a folded half-sheet of Basic White card stock. This card opens on the right and the fold is on the left.

A 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White card stock was cut for the layer. It was textured using the "Painted Texture" embossing folder and then it was glued to the front of the card. I prefer to use glue because I have found that tape doesn't always hold well because of the texture. There just doesn't seem to be enough contact surface to make it stick well. Glue doesn't leave me with any questions of not staying in place.

The next thing I did was to die cut the floral image from the "Artistically Inked" bundle using Basic White card stock. I cut tiny pieces of Dimensionals and set them in the wider areas on the back side. The upper part of the piece does not have any Dimensionals because the lines up there are just too thin. But the ones I added on the bottom area seemed to be enough to support the piece and help the top stay raised a bit.

Next I tied a white ribbon (retired) bow and set it in place on the front of the card using a glue dot.

The words were added next. I do not recall what set they are from, I had stamped them a while ago and they were in my stash. They were punched out using the "Double Oval" punch and set in place using Dimensionals. And the card was done.

This was a fun card to make and such a pretty one too!

Thank you SO very much for taking your time to stop in and see today's anniversary card,
Wanda
